We had an excellent run this summer with new vendors, new customers, and our loyal customers who return every Saturday to see what produce we have. We had great fun, the drought and heat did not stop our local growers from trying to grow fresh healthy foods.
The market is closed till next July. We hope to open up the market with all of our existing vendors, any new vendors and cutomers coming out to support the locally grown food that we are encouraging everyone to take part in by planting or buying.

Hot Hot Hot...
This past Saturday we had a new vendor join the market, they will be selling eggs every Saturday at the market. The market now consists of vegetable and fruit produce sellers, wonderful perennial flowers and plants, homemade sweet honey and now, fresh eggs.
This is the second season for the Pittsboro Farmers Market and it is amazing that there are so many people that value the benefits of fresh, locally grown food. Thanks to everyone for their support and thanks to the incredible vendors that come out every Saturday.
Hopefully, we will get rain and this will be the last week of 90 degree heat. Keeping my fingers crossed so my tomatos have a chance. The small ones taste good but before summer is over, "I need a big juicy slicing tomato!!"

WOW. What a fantastic market we had this morning. Thanks to all the vendors that came out and sold their produce, plants and products. It has been a hard growing season but the tomatos are coming. A few vendors have green tomatos on their plants, just waiting for them to turn a delicous red. We are keeping our fingers crossed for next Saturday to have ripe tomatos for sale.

Farmers Market Meeting
It's Spring!! Time for planting and time for a meeting regarding this years Market. Christi and I would like to have all interested vendors attend our meeting on Monday, March 21st at the Pittsboro Town Hall at 7:00 p.m. to discuss the upcoming market for the of summer 2011.
We are trying to make this years market stronger and better than the first. So anyone interested please attend our informational meeting!!
